Background and reliability check -

The process takes place when accepting a new candidate. At the end of the process there is a final reference, which is as important as the face-to-face interview as well as all the tests that were done during the process. At the end of the reliability check, it will be possible to determine if there is a chance of Occupational delinquency

There is a need to distinguish between 2 types of checks:

 

1.Reliability check for future employees

In this type of check, the emphasis is put on the candidate's past: occupational, personal, economic and legal.

Obligation of proof of a clean past is on the candidate and not on the company where he is applying for a job.

 

2. Reliability check for current employees

In this type of check, one must be very careful in inspecting the employee due to the fact that the employee has constitutional rights and, in most cases, also the committee that protects him.

What does this mean?

When performing a reliability check on existing employees, the discretion in the process is immeasurably important!

If there is suspicion beyond reason or during a change of position, the candidate must be checked in a way that will not affect his continuous work in the organization.

Candidate will try to do anything in order to obtain their dream job and reach their goal.

They will lie, distort details, add titles that they do not have and workplace where they have not worked in, and all this just so they would appear special and different that other applicants.

The company will check the candidates past and will produce a report that includes all of the elements of his personality that will be checked by our experienced team of experts and based on this the employer will be able to decide whether to hire a person who could be dangerous to the stability of the company.

The check for future employees is valid a year from the date the decision was made.

BackGround recommends periodic follow-up after about a year and additional checks necessary to examine whether changes have been made in the employee's status or in his family, financial and mental condition.

The periodic check is shorter, but no less comprehensive.

It also includes internet tests and conversations with managers.

A polygraph is considered an aid in decision but our approach at BackGround, many tests should be performed before sending to the polygraph and we do not even recommend it as part of an organizational procedure in accepting a job candidate.

The polygraph is not admissible in court as a single decision factor and is only a tool that supports the decision of the judge in Israel or, in the US, of the jury.

A thorough background check before deciding on a persons credibility is highly important.

The test is carried out in several stages in full cooperation with the candidate.

The scope of the background check is determined based on the characterization of the tests that are performed together with the client. The characterization is determined according to the nature and scope of the candidate's job for the organization or company and is divided into four risk levels in total:

Low risk level

Medium risk level

high risk level

Highest risk level

The lowest risk level includes the smallest amount of test items, while the highest risk level includes the highest amount of test items. Of course, the characterizations are not absolute and flexible according to the needs and wishes of the client.

Discreet checks are carried out without the candidate's knowledge , but while legally using a variety of sources and databases.

Overt background checks are carried out with the candidate's knowledge , while in some of the tests the candidate is also questioned by us.
